While the location was beautiful, the accommodations left much to be desired. The bathrooms were outdated, and the kitchen had some cleanliness issues. However, the welcoming staff truly made the experience worthwhile, despite the lack of some amenities that would enhance comfort.

Perfect spot for family bonding!
We had a fantastic 4-night stay in the "Big House"! It was super spacious—perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We hiked at Lost Lake (totally recommend it! ) and explored some museums in Dubois. Just wish there was more variety in the dining options, but overall a cozy place!

The tiny cabins had a delightful atmosphere and provided stunning views of the surrounding area. Insulation was excellent, making it a comfortable stay despite shared bathroom facilities. However, the remote location meant no cell service, which could be a drawback for some travelers. While the staff were friendly, the amenities felt basic for the price paid.

We had a fantastic stay with our family, and I can't say enough about how helpful Andrea at the front desk was. he made sure we had extra washcloths, which was a nice touch. The fire pit and spacious garden area were perfect spots for relaxing after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was a bit weak in our room, but it didn't ruin our fun at all! 😊

Beautiful location with stunning views!
Our stay was a complete nightmare. The initial cabin we booked was not available upon arrival, and the staff didn't seem to care about the mix-up. They offered a so-called upgrade but ended up charging us significantly more than we were led to believe, and I left feeling completely cheated. The entire process was frustrating, and communication with management was downright terrible.

The breakfast at Lava Mountain Lodge was exceptional, like a warm hug for the soul! The friendly male staff member added a cherry on top of our stay, making the experience even better.
We had a rough start when we arrived to an underwhelming, cramped lodge that didn’t fit our family of five. The communication fiasco with management took the cake for poor service.
